The Alaska Health Project South Sudan (AHPSS) is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives in the isolated, roadless region of Old Fangak.
They provide sustainable healthcare, clean drinking water, and agricultural support to the remote communities and refugees in the area.
The green represents agriculture as well as health. Girls are often responsible for collecting the family’s water. This girl is washing her hands in the flowing water, referencing health and sanitation. This image encompasses all of their goals in a simple and culturally-specific design.
